Right now we are working on Phase 1 Playground. We still have a ways to go, but we have been very successful with fundraisers and getting support from the city and province. In phase 2 we will construct basketball courts. We are already working on phase 2, but that work and the final fundraising push will come after phase 1 is complete. Phase 3 is a water spray park and this is a future project for now. We have made exciting progress so far, why not join the team? Email Noela at email@example.com

Poplar Park Playground – Meeting 2 Done!
The Poplar Park Playground committee grew by a few members this month and on Aug. 28 we met with city staff, including the landscape architect to agree on the layout of a new plan for a playground and future water park in Poplar Park. We already have a draft NPDP application for $250,000 and we have already initiatied contact with our MLA Janice Sarich about getting provincial support.
Next up some playground tours to look at some equipment, some fundraising and some new plans from the city and cost estimates.

Poplar Park Playground Committee – The Journey Begins
Building on the awesome work already done by Florence Hallock School parents, students and staff, a new Poplar Park Playground Committee has formed with the express purpose of getting a playground constructed in Poplar Park as quickly as possible. Already, we have six members on the committee and we have started the process of applying for City and Provincial grants totaling $500,000. Thanks to the super efforts of students, parents and staff at Florence Hallock School, located in the district park, we also have $26,000 raised from fundraising events, including $10,000 from Evansdale Community League. In addition, we have private fundraising efforts underway that could really help us get to solution quickly.
We are currently examining plans for the playground that include equipment for younger and older children and equipment designed with accessibility in mind. Get involved! We invite you to join the team and help us get a sorely needed playground in Poplar Park.
Join Donna, Wendy, Trish, Noela, David and Sandi on the team! The only purpose of the committee is to complete the work necessary to get our playground built. Our goal is to build as early as 2014!
